Elafonissi Beach
In the southern part of Crete you will find a magical place full of white and pink sand, an area known as Elafonisi. If you decide to spend your vacation in Crete, make sure that Elafonisi is one of the places worth your visit.
Chrisoskalitissa Monastery
The Monastery Chrisoskalitissa is located 76 kilometers south of the city of Chania. It is 45 km from Kissamos but is very close to the famous Elafonisi, as the distance from the popular beach to the historical monastery is just seven kilometers. The whitewashed monastery is built up on a big rock of 35 meters and the view to the Libyan sea from there is amazing.
Hiking
The Elafonisi region is a hiker's paradise, with some of the best routes on the E4 trail across Crete. The best routes are from Elafonisi to Kedrodasos and from Kedrodasos to Lake Krios. As some sections of the trail cross the rough coastline, you must wear appropriate footwear.
